The Massillon Area Wargamers will be hosting a wargaming show/convention in Massillon Ohio at the American Legion Hall on August 24, 2013 called "Battlefield of Dice." This is a charity event as all proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. The hall rental, the food, door prizes, etc. is all being donated so we hope to be able to make a decent donation.

What we need right now are game masters and traders. There will be no charge to traders, although we hope they will make a donation based upon how well they do on the day. Each person running a game (max 2 per game) will be given free entry into the event of course. We will charge at the door for entry and ask each player for a donation to play a game. Are initial thoughts are $5.00 USD per gamer to enter and free entry to non-gaming spouses/partners/significant others. We'll be working on the honor system for the non-gaming part. To play a game we are thinking anywhere from $1 USD to $3 USD per game. Keep in mind that all funds are going to the Wounded Warrior Project and not to the club or even to finance the event.

We will be arranging a bring & buy booth as well. Please let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

We will be setting up a site for you get more information and for traders and game organizers to sign up. We really need your support to help this worthwhile event get off the ground.

If I'm not gone with the military, I might be able to go and put on a couple of games.

Sounds good. I with Sundance depending on my schedule I would be willing to run a game and pay the entry fee since it's going to a great cause. I'm looking forward to more information.

We have updated the website with some more basic info, plus we have listed some of the games that have already been submitted to host, but like Private Matter said, we need more games. :-)
