Hi I've added couple of pics of the blue moon American Riflemen to my blog. If anyone wants to take a look here's the link:

Nice work Pete. Still waiting for the US militia to be released.

Yep… feels that I've been waiting a while so I'll just have to keep painting the regulars until the do.

I've been tempted to mix the FIW riflemen and the Mexican War Tennesseans together for some militia types. Also I've painted some Warmodelling Spanish militia to represent a passable unit of New York militia.

cheers Pete

The Mexican sculpts are quite nice, but noticeably smaller than the Blue Moon 1812s. As I have them in skirmish order, it isn't that big an issue – some nice figs for wilder US militia. The FIW are closer in heft, and I've used some French Canadian militia and, of course, the natives, from that range.

That's my strategy as well. If they don't come out by the time I finish everything else, I will probably go with figures from the other Old Glory.

This is very tempting to do in this scale.

I have 25mm stuff and it's lovely, but, well, big.

This is just interesting…

Nicely done!

cheers, I've been tempted to do a few 25's using muskets and tomahawks.

''That's my strategy as well. If they don't come out by the time I finish everything else, I will probably go with figures from the other Old Glory.''

I didn't realise Old Glory did a range for 1812 and might have to do the same mesell, however at the rate I paint Blue moon should have all the packs completed.
