What is the best way to paint tanks with with side skirts?
I was thinking just to assemble the whole thing and then paint?
Or is it better to do the skirts separately and attach at the end?
Thanks

Why paint something you can't see?

I stick them on first, just like shields.

Black prime the vehicle, then attach the side skirts and paint. You only need to paint what can be seen. Any incidental area missed by painting will look like a shadow.

Just be careful – they don't like it when you look up their skirts, and the brush can be very ticklish on the underparts…

I don't even wait to paint the tanks with schurzen at 28mm scale. I just get in there as best I can after the fact. =)
