Swatters is the new humans vs aliens game from Ganesha.

link

A ‘standard game' will contain between 20-50 figures a side, in fire teams of 2-5 figures. Forces are points-based, with a basic soldier and basic bug costing about the same, but having big differences in shooting and close combat abilities respectively. Humans can get more expensive troop types as well as vehicles, HQ units, and power armour, as well as cheaper armed and unarmed colonists. Bugs can get cheaper fodder, and larger specialist bugs including flyers, burrowers, shooters, and a Queen.

I'm looking forward to gaming with these rules -- they give Ganesha Games fans the opportunity to play straight sci fi and larger unit fights. I'll be making arrangements with Andrea so I can carry these rules (the first rules set for me to sell), and based on his advice will be putting together a bundle of rules plus figures for gamers who want to jump right in.

If these rules are as successful as his others, I'm hoping we'll see them expanded so that they can also be used for large scale battles between tech-using adversaries. As a matter of fact they basically already are suitable for human-on-human fights using similar tech, but they could be expanded to allow for sentient, weapon-using aliens and vehicle techs. Gamers could probably put together something to cover until Andrea expands the rules.

The Swatters rules set is available here:

A starter bundle is a great idea, Jon. Those are the types of products we need to get more people into 15mm gaming.

@Porfirio that is 'swatting', but then you knew that, didn't you?

Did you read the headline of the story I linked to?

Not sure for how much they retail elsewhere but found this heavily discounted version from the Wargame Vault now only $8.00 USD. link

I just got these -they look very tweak-able. I've got masses of Kryomeks mounted 2/3 to a 60mm base for small ones and one to base for bigger stuff. I'm sure I could use these rules.
