I was talking to someone the other day and can't remember the msg board we used before Yahoo and all the follow ons. I think it was something like RHMG or something close to that.

And I seem to recall something called "Onelist" in between usenet and Yahoo…

rgmh was on usenet, the internet news service.

As I recall we turned our usenet server here off in the late 1990s.

Usenet appeared around the same time as tcp/ip. Like tcp/ip, usenet is a distributed system, so hardened against nuclear attack:)

along with r.g.m.h I used to have a lot of fun on soc.hist.wwii.
