I used to get flat round metal bases from Game Crafters, who had them in many sizes, and had hexagons as well. They appear to be out of bases. Any others make them? |

The washers are the way to go if you use magnetic transport cases or such. Matthew |

I've used fender washers from Home Depot or Lowes. |

As far as I know they were the only folks to make those. Fender washers or switching to wood/plastic may be your only choice. |

I have some copper ones I'll sell. $1.25 USD + postage per 100 |

I've used Fender washers before. Sort of thick and for some reason don't stick well on magnet sheets. The Game Crafters were really nice. Hate seeing them gone. |

I would buy a hundred or so thin, ferrous material bases in 1/2 inch, 15mm, 20mm, and 25mm. I would buy 25 or so in 40mm and 50mm. By "thin," I mean 1mm or less thickness. Preferably less. |

PWS does a range in the UK. They are 0.8mm thick. |

Ken from LITKO mentioned that he considered adding metal bases to their lineup in the past (it was on this thread, from back in October of 2012: TMP link ). If you're interested in metal bases, it can't hurt to let him know. Here's a beer for good luck: |

You could try these. link I must say that washers are a good, readily available alternative. Ramset used to make discs without holes for fastening concrete basically a washer without the hole. Never could find those, though. |

I've used Fender washers before. Sort of thick and for some reason don't stick well on magnet sheets. That is the complete opposite of my experiences. I only use fenders, covering the hole with a small piece of clear tape then gluing on the figure. |

So I'm guessing Game Crafters is gone? They also made a larger range of hexagon bases, flat metal. Really nice for differentiating command figures. |

Have you contacted Wargames Accessories? They do custom bases. |

We have looked into it before but getting metal shapes cut is tricky. They can't be laser cut so you have to stamp them out and that limits your choices because you have to buy in larger quantities to get a good price. It has been on my list of things to look into for a while. Of course that list is getting kinda massive at this point. |

E-mail John at Wargames Accessories. He's been making bases for 20+ years. He'll give you an honest answer in a short amount of time. |
