As the title asks
I am curious if there were any ACW battles in which a company or regiment of zouaves faced each other directly? I have a box of the magnificent Perry figures and I'm pretty sure I don't want to paint them all up as the same unit. |

Jeb mistook some of the 5th NY for the Tigers during the 1st Manassas. That would have put them in the same area, but I don't believe that they actually engaged each other. TIG |

Good question – the most consistent Confederate unit would be Wheat's Zouaves, who fought hard during the Seven Days and especially at Second Manassas – don't know that they encountered any Union Zouaves, though- – - |

If any it would have been Wheat's Tiger Zouave's for the Confederates against the NY Zouave's but I am unsure if they met in battle
