As the title asks… I am curious if there were any ACW battles in which a company or regiment of zouaves faced each other directly? I have a box of the magnificent Perry figures and I'm pretty sure I don't want to paint them all up as the same unit.

Jeb mistook some of the 5th NY for the Tigers during the 1st Manassas. That would have put them in the same area, but I don't believe that they actually engaged each other. TIG

Good question – the most consistent Confederate unit would be Wheat's Zouaves, who fought hard during the Seven Days and especially at Second Manassas – don't know that they encountered any Union Zouaves, though- – -

If any it would have been Wheat's Tiger Zouave's for the
Confederates against the NY Zouave's but I am unsure if
they met in battle…
