My good fellow: I cannot recom, end a Vallejo blue for oyu nor can I answer with any solid reference on the colour of the putees, but I iwll offer this: 1. after a few min's search on the web I found only one photo of a re-enactor who was waering the blue putees and they appeared to be a very dark, almost black colour of blue. So perhaps Navy blue? Again I have no references I'm only offering an opinion. 2. If the unit were given the "Royal" title could the blue be royal blue? Sadly I have no idea nor reference for the uniform of this fine regiment. |

Hi there, It is a very dark blue, somewhere between Oxford Blue and a mid-Prussian Blue, and not much hint of indigo, I think. Oxford Blue should do it (Vallejo or Humbrol perhaps?). There is an example on display at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Ontario. |
