Gentlemen,

With a little pride I would like to announce the birth of a new miniatures company:
Van Dyck Models and Figurines.

picture

We dedicate our efforts to the production of highly detailed 12mm figurines, currently only early imperial Romans are available but more ranges will be added in the near future.

Check out our website link

I will happily answer all questions or remarks regarding this topic, just ask!

OMG! They are gr8!

jtipp6812 Apr 2013 7:24 p.m. PST

Those are excellent figures no doubt, and I rarely if ever gripe about price, but do you think you can be successful at .45 cents a figure at this scale?

aapch4512 Apr 2013 8:13 p.m. PST

Looks amazing! Keep it up. Best of luck.

normsmith12 Apr 2013 10:23 p.m. PST

Lovely product.

I had the privilege of seeing and handling those figures from my fellow countryman and friend Kris.
Just couldn't believe it!
Those figures carry a detail better than many 28s and certainly set a new standard.

What WillieB said.
Unbelievable!

I've been following 10mm figures for a long time, and those are some of the best I've seen. They are certainly head-and-helmet-crest above the standard for the other 10mm EIR figures I know, the only comparable figures being Pendraken's Late Roman line. As for price, they are at the top end, but GHQ figures are 30 cents each (although USD not Euro), and the new Cracker Line 35 cents. So yes, perhaps a bit pricey, but they might be hard to turn down if EIR is your thing (and if you're in Europe at least you avoid USA postage).

Cheers,

Christopher

Saw these at Crisis last year, these are incredible.

I wish they were republicans.

Thanks all of you for the warm words about my figurines!

About the price I can tell you that it takes a lot more time and effort to make them with this kind of detail.

They also come with 4x2 cm resin bases witch are included in the price.

For 30 figures (in 3 different poses) you pay 9€ so that's 30 cent a figure not 45, for the command packs you pay 5€ for 10 figures (5 different figurines).

For what you're getting I personally think it's a very fair price!

Can you tell us what is going to be released next?…Not really interested in Romans but love the figures

Princeps13 Apr 2013 4:49 a.m. PST

Saw these at Crisis last year and they are truly incredible. Glad to see that they are finally available.

galvinm13 Apr 2013 5:30 a.m. PST

My wallet really did not need to see these.

How do they measure up with the other ranges? Old Glory, Pendragon, Magister Militum, etc.?

Shootmenow13 Apr 2013 5:54 a.m. PST

Just when you think that the detail and design on smaller scales has gone as far as it can, some extremely talented person decides to raise the bar so far you'll have vertigo buying them!

For me, cost is a very secondary issue compared to my ability to do these justice with a paintbrush…

Are shields separate? I saw on your site that some cmd figures are shieldless, but painted versions are shielded.

Really lovely detail though, very nice.

Edit: what is Belgic (?) postage like?

Cheers
Jon

Gentlemen,

Next on the list are a Roman scorpio(2) and crew(4), an ox wagon (including some amphora's to transport), and I'm also looking out for the first enemy's witch will be Germans.

All figures that you find on the site come with separate shields.
On the images some don't have a shield, but this is just to show you the detail on the complete figurine.

You can find shipment prices link

For Belgium that's 7,4€

Fantastic figures. These are among the best 10mm I've seen.

Mollinary13 Apr 2013 11:08 a.m. PST

I too saw these in the "metal" at Crisis last year, and they are truly amazing. You get what you pay for with these figures, and that is a level of detail that I believe is unparalleled. I was blown away by them. My only reservation was that I doubt my ability as a painter to do justice to them. Still, I will enjoy seeing what the master painters among us can do with them. I wish Kris every success in this venture.

Now that is an amazing new product. If all sculpting stays like that you will do rather well I imagine.
