The current issue of "Modern Warfare" Magazine -which is a modern warfare equivalent of "Strategy and Tactics"- features a good article and game based on North Korea called "Drive on Pyongyang" .

Like S&T the background material provides lots of information on armies weapons and historical background The TOE's cover
all major forces and would be useful for building miniature armies.

There are two versions of the magazine, one with the board game and one without. given all the current interest in this area and the resultant questions on TMP I would highly recommend this magazine issue

After having purchased a few issues in this series I will now wait for reviews before buying or until they're really cheap on Ebay. Modern War has the same issues as S&T and World at War in that the games are under developed and hardly play tested. This results in games with lots of issues, from missing rules, unrealistic victory conditions, problems with the counters, etc.

There's a game in the Millenium Wars series (by One Small Step?) that covers a modern Korean conflict, with cyberwarfare and things like that. On a bigger scale there's GMT's re-issue of Next War: Korea.

Very timely I must say… perhaps too timely. Is S&T manipulating events to boost their game and magazine sales???? Is Un a secret stockholder???? S&T has much to answer for! Time for a Congressional Committee…

Bomba & Miranda have pumped out games over the last 10 years or so with only the basic knowledge out of Janes and Defenese weekly. Most are poor attempts as old style S&T crap with little historical or accurate information outside of the most common sources in the open market.
