We've been asked more than a few time how we do our undead flesh on things like vampires so Allison took some time to put up a tutorial on the blog. It's not your typical grey/green but more bloodless: link

I like this look. I see a lot of figures painted with grey skin but that never looks correct to me. |

Very nice work and the tutorial is a great help. I also looked at your FIW. Can you tell me what colours you used for the skin on the Inidans? |

Anne: if its the Galloping Major figs I believe I used P3 Khardic Flesh as a base and then mixed a wash. IIRC it was our own mix of chestnut with some dark brown mixed in. You might be able to get something close with GW's flesh wash mixed with their Devlin Mud or whatever their flavor of the month is for a dark brown wash. My intent wash to have something darker with just a hint of red/ red-brown. If you want to highlight it even more then go Bach with either some Khardic Flesh or even something like Reaper's tanned skin depending on the look you like. |
