This is a 10 question survey about historical wargaming. It takes about 4 minutes. link |

So, I took it. The slider question about how much more or less I would pay was confusing. Was 20 to whatever supposed to be the price or how much I would subtract, so leaving the slider at 60 meant I wouldn't buy it? And what is a 'Euro' game? Good luck in your endeavors. |

I got bored after the second question. |

Should make it clear that it is about board games and not figure games – I abandoned it on Q2 as I have no interest in board games. |

Dear Keraunos Yup, you got it! Board games are Bored games. I figured that out on question 1 and simply didn't respond. |

Not sure what question it was but I bailed at : What age group do you feel comfortable playing with when in the mood for a serious wargame? under 10 11-13 14-15 16-18 19-21 22-25 only 26+ Yeah, when I want a serious wargame I round up the under 10's – What ???????? I'll play with 22 year olds, but not childish 21 year olds – What ??????? There is only one age band over 25 – What ???????? Stupid survey. |

Several of the questions only allow one answer when they should permit multiple selections to be made. |
| Maddaz111 | 12 Apr 2013 5:55 a.m. PST |
I thought it was a clever survey – the shuffling of the order of the first seven topics caused me to stop and think. |

Technical problems prevented the older Mac I'm using from taking the quiz. |

20th – I thought the same thing about this question. Seriously? The only people who typically play any such games are expected to be under 26? How many posts are there on TMP alone regarding the graying of the hobby? From the questions, not sure that jim either thought the questions/answers through completely or if he just has an unrealistic understanding of demographics and key factors in the hobby (for example, the question on why I would buy a game I've never seen before – all but one or two of them were pointless fluff that wouldn't make me even stop to consider the game). |

Then the answer would have been 26+
No brainer. Finished it.

Hey Jim, I filled it out. I hope the results help you. Good Luck |

Yup, filled it out. Thanks for posting. |

Some of the answers were limited and I am sure he lost accuracy re. data collection but it only took a couple of minutes to fill out. |

Most of the questions miss the point – or make untenable assumptions
Still, I answered the few that make sense to historical wargamers. Hmmm |

Agree with comments above, but did it anyway. Wonder how responses to the final question will be recorded and analysed? |
| John Thomas8 | 12 Apr 2013 7:23 p.m. PST |
It'd be interesting to see the results. |
| Gonsalvo | 12 Apr 2013 8:32 p.m. PST |
I agree with Brian – I found the survey pretty annoying, actually, and very board game centric – not the best for TMP. I skimmed through the remaining questions and decided it wasn't worth my time to complete
nor would my answers be of much use to the surveyor. |

I went through it inorder to help you. But i really would like to the see the result posted. I think that is normal to get a feedback. Greetings |

The increasing complexity of board games is a turn off. As is the millions of pieces. |
| Landgraft | 14 Apr 2013 6:11 p.m. PST |
Board games are good to just get out and play. They also offer a number of 'different' dynamics from tabletop wargames because of the scope for peaceful interaction between players and alliances. What drives me mad is when a boardgame comes with figures that are obviously supposed to be painted. It's so far from what I want to see when I already paid extra just to have the whole experience-self contained. As someone asked what a Eurogame is, here link I do agree that the age brackets seemed a little odd, though. It might have been better to establish preferences relative to ones own age? (10 years younger, same, 10 years older, etc.) |

I did take it and answered all but the last question. It was rather vague and I did not know what ask. |
