I'm not sure if this has been reported here. It doesn't seem to have been as I can't find it when I searched. I hadn't heard from Bill Landrum, aka Colonel Hairy Haggis, in quite a while, and it turns away he passed away a little over a year ago. At a relatively young age of 58, too. I don't know if any of you remember Bill/Hairy, but he was quite active on this board and on the ColonialWars yahoo group back in the day, and I thought people would want to know. I liked Bill, he was always a calm, pleasant guy with a great sense of humor and incredibly creative. FWIW, I posted a little remembrance here: link

Nice tribute.

Bill sculpted the turrets, wheels and a VSF ironclad for BrigadeGames back 11-12 years ago when we were just a few years old. The turret and wheels still exist but the ironclad mold is long gone.

You could always have an interesting conversation or game if Bill was in it.
A unique character.

He will be missed.

Man, what a drag, he was such a gent. Nice tribute, Walt.

I'd wondered why I hadn't seen posts from him in a while.

Tis shocking, and with more than a bit of chagrin, to admit not knowing of this til now.

And, humbling, when considering the very much smaller hole I shall leave in this hobby when I pass.

Thanks for the wreath upon the waves…

My hat removed and my head bowed as a familiar name moves from the rolls of the living to the sign-in book of the Hereafter.

I have missed the Hairy Haggis posts, and tip my hat to the man departed.

Thanks for posting the nice tribute, Walt.

Thanks for letting us know, Walt.

I had noticed in passing that ol' Hairy had been quiet the last few months, but only thought he was perhaps another of the gang who dropped out last August.

Now I am even more bummed out.

Sad to hear it. Far too young.
