Has anyone seen the rules? I have the other Wings at War starter sets and am curious what aircraft the rules give statistics for. Do the rules list early war aircraft and also ballons? Thanks!

I absolutely love these rules – actually playing them with distances doubled and my 1/144 scale Wings Of War collection (I normally use 1/600 for aerial games, but I'm a mug for the larger scale for WWI games….)

The rules are really intended for 1917-18; earlier aircraft fall into a catch-all "obsolete aircraft". (That said, I keep meaning to get around to "recalibrating" the aircraft stats for earlier games, especially if I ever finish painting my DH2s, FE8s, Eindekkers etc….)

They work on quite a clever system where the more aircraft you use, the more you need to achieve, with victory points for bombing, trench strafing, photo recce, and artillery observation (including by balloons) as well as shooting enemy aircraft down.

Hey Dom, do you still carry the various Tumbling Dice rules?

I have a few copies, but don't carry them as a "regular stock" item as it were, as they're a joint venture between Tumbling Dice and the rules author. You can easily get them direct from Tumbling Dice:

I did have to add my own stats for the Fokker E.V and Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI, though. In addition, the rules don't account for the Bristol Fighter having dual rear guns, so I've modified that as well.

As a complete idiot, I forgot that most of the planes are referred to by serial number.
