We're pleased to show the first glimpse at our M60A1 kit in 15mm (1/100) scale. We had it designed with the Yom Kippur War in mind but the model will have many other cold war and gulf war uses as well.
Hope to have it out in a few months. So far we've had the T55, T62, Sho't Kal and Magach made for 1973, leaving only the M48 and Sherman M51 for the major tanks used. |

Cor! I'm trying hard to resist the Arab-Israeli wars but you're making it hard, Jon! |

This range is fast rising in my "must have" list. The biggest barrier for Yom Kippur for me has always been a range of figures and vehicles that I was confident in, something which looks to be changing thanks to Jon. |

I know it never saw combat (thankfully), but any plans for the M60A2 'starship' turret? |

A CEV would be a nice addition too |

Any chance of the upgraded version with Blazer armour? |

I know it never saw combat (thankfully), but any plans for the M60A2 'starship' turret? No, as it didn't see combat and it's a vehicle not currently in service. That doesn't mean it'll never be seen, just that there are more pressing priorities for designer time (like say the lighter vehicles used in 1973). |

Second the CEV version!!! |

Doing Cold War in 15mm is starting to look very tempting. Thank you Khurasan. |

Can't wait to see this stuff. As said above, I am particularly fired up for the M51! |

Retail price? I need a "Battalion" of these (14 models) |

Really nice. Are you going to include an Urdan cupola and a pair of pintle mount M1919A4s? Damon. |
Garand | 10 Apr 2013 10:35 a.m. PST |
Or how about an M48, with parts to make an -A3 (cupola, 90mm cannon) and -A4/A5 (Urdan Cupola, 105mm gun, optional M1919A4 pintle mounts or M60s/M2HB)? Damon. |
khurasanminiatures | 10 Apr 2013 11:00 a.m. PST |
Urdan cupola was not added to the M60A1 in time for the Yom Kippur war so I'm ok so far. They did take the M85 out of the cupola sometimes and add a pintle mount though so I'll be asking the crew sculptor, Mike Broadbent, to make one. Bunch of M48s have come out recently, so it seems to make more sense to make stuff like the M51 Sherman or the M325 Nun-Nun first, especially as I've already got a "Patton" (Mag'ach) for Sinai. |

Well, the money may be in BTR-50s and PT-76s. Ride Battlefront's coattails! |

Are you going to do Tiran 5 or 6 wouldn't take much L7/M68 barrel,Israeli stowage,etc to the T55 or T62 |
khurasanminiatures | 10 Apr 2013 3:55 p.m. PST |
Definitely a consideration, not in the works currently though. Another thought is to convert the T62 to the North Korean Pegasus, I think that'd be a popular model. |
Splod89 | 10 Apr 2013 7:50 p.m. PST |
The majority of the Pattons that saw servuice during the Yom Kippur War were M60, with the CWS removed and replaced with the Urdan cuploa. 540 hulls springs to mind, but don't quote me on that. There were a number of M60A1's sold to Israel that were not upgraded to Magach standard by the outbreak of the war. I believe it was 150 hulls. A number of these had the M85 removed as you mentioned above, and they were all slowly upgraded with .30 Cal on a pintle mount. Some were also fitted with a .50 Cal above the barrel. The point I'm making is can the cupola be moulded as a separate 'plug and play' piece to make variants easily interchangeable? |

Khurasan I am really excited about your work on the 1973 War. I have an Egyptian army of about one hundred vehicles as is and am looking to start some Israelis. Any idea of when we can start to order product? Dennis |

Fair enough, and I'd like to second the combat-engineer turret with the 165mm pumpkin-chucker. |
