Very cool site, it is actually called "Battleship Island" because of its similar appearance to a battleship supposedly. The photos are absolutely cool – and it is an impressive site. The thing that gets me is that one day it is filled with nearly 30,000 people and a few days later – all of them are gone. Just like that – your whole life removed and now off-limits. |

You got me spending two hours this afternoon on that site. Cool site, though. I like the articles previously published about exploring the NY subway system with all the disused stops, etc., and an article that was published about exploring the ship graveyard in the river above SF. |
