HMGS-Midwest and the Little Wars Convention is a volunteer run organization. The Board Of Directors (BOD), Convention Staff and Volunteers receive no compensation or payment for the work they do in running the organization or convention. This is significant to our efforts to keep our costs low and stable.
We are looking for new/additional volunteers to add to our convention staff: Some of these positions are unfilled.
Events: Seeking volunteers to assist our Events Manger Steve Rysemus in recruiting quality events for the convention and to help man the Event Desk during the convention.
Registration: Seeking volunteers to assist our Registration Desk Manager Richard Wright and his team to help man the registration desk during the convention.
Flea Market Manager: Seeking volunteers to assist our Flea Market Manager Yonan Badal to help organize and run the flea market during the convention.
Wounded Warrior Silent Auction: Looking for a volunteer to take the lead as the Auction Manager. Duties would include registration of the event with The Wounded Warriors Project, promotion of the auction, seeking quality auction items, setting up and monitoring the auction tables. Notification to the highest bidders and collection of bids.
Promotion/Advertisement Manager: Looking for a volunteer to take the lead in promotion of the convention and to assist in expanding the attendee base.
Family Event Manager: Looking for a volunteer to take the lead in setting up and organizing events and activities for the spouses and children of those attending the convention. The goal is to make Little Wars a more Family Friendly Convention that offers something for the entire family.
Parent/Child & Juniors Event Manager: Looking for a volunteer to take the lead in recruiting gaming events and activites to help promote the hobby and our vendors. |
