I just noticed those Mayans too. I was thinking about working on Mayans next, for my Mesoamerican variant of Saga [1].

How do these compare in size to, say, The Assault Group's 28mm Aztecs? The Mayans and Conquistadores both look very nice; clean sculpts. Maybe some Spanish sword and buckler men, some in cotton cuirasses.

Great minis that absolutely need adding to my Spanish forces :-)

But at a shipping rate of 10 minimum, I will wait for "a lot more figures" so that I can push my order in the 50+ area.

Always wanted to play "Sword and the Cross" . Those look great

Patrice11 Jun 2013 2:18 p.m. PST

Interesting. The cavalryman in jerkin could also take part in the Wars of Religion in France, or in Border Reveirs skirmishes on the English/Scottish borders.

Coloured sashes were common in the wars of religion – but perhaps not needed by the Conquistadores, their enemy was easy to recognize.
