Hi all Well it seems that after a long dry spell in filling in the range of 10mm League of Augsburg range from Pendraken that they are moving ahead again. They just released, dismounted dragoons, artillery and say that the first batch of cavalry will be available hopefully at Salute on the 20th of April. The infantry are fantastic and even though I have a good sized Marlbough armies in 5mm using Ross Heroics, this is the range I am going to use for the League of Augsburg. Go to the Pendraken website and check out the images. link Check page 1, 9, 12 and 20 for the photos of the greens. Here are some photos of my first two battlions, the bases have not yet been flocked. They are based for Captain General, I just crammed as many figures on a 4cm wide base as possible and then had platoon firing dutch be in two ranks while the Rank firing french in three ranks.

Yes, they are quite remarkable for 10mm figures. Very tempting range ! Phil |

Glad to hear that cavalry is on the way. A friend and I had been sorely tempted, but the limited range of figures made it a non starter for us. |

I has the older LoA range and they were wonderful, so hard to imagine an improvement. |

Much better than the old range, with multiple poses for each type, so they have 4 or 5 varitions for firing infantry with musket and 4 or 5 varitations for firing with flintlock. Just take a look at the cavalry, there are 5 varitions of charging with sword and 5 varitions with charging with pistol. Not only that but clib is planning on making smaller horses for the dragoons. Great detail, just what clib is becoming know for. These are some of his nicest figures both proportions and detail. The fact that he makes so many vartions for each type is what makes this range stand out. William |

I have affection for the older range, it was one of the better first generation ranges. They were more proportionally correct, though that did mean a certain lack of detail, e.g. when you make the head the correct size its so small its hard to put any facial features on The newer ones sacrifice exact proportionality to get more detail in. Its a stylistic choice, but one I am happy with. Now if I just had time to paint some. |

No Clib no painting for you, you must add more figures to the range ;) |

Very nice indeed WKeyser, smart presentation. @ clibinarium. Nice to see the old range getting a mention. I'm working through an old army pack Leon was selling at a cut price at Carronade last year. This lot will be for King James, with the new range (once it's finished ;) providing for William of Orange.
