I was given a 54mm Grenadier Guard Fifer by a friend. My main period is Napoleonics, so I wasn't really sure what to do with this fella, but fortunately another pal helped me out with some painting advice.

Very nice indeed, with a strong "late Victorian" feel! Brings to my mind the dress uniform dinner party in Gunga Din. It's true, that's a Hollywood pop-cultural version of "late Victorian", but I make no excuses for my cinematic good taste!
