The bases that come with them…..

I have been using the plain flight stands with 1" hex bases. Not happy they are too tippy and am looking for something else. Bought some Forgeworld Aeronautica Imperialis bases but the dials are too fiddly. May have Litko make some custom ones for me.

Bases in the kit.

Bases in the kit.

Suplementry question;

If you are using the bases that come with the kit, what size hex would you recomend if you were playing rules that used hexes?

1"?
1.5"?
2"?

I was thinking of using 2" hexes because of the bulky size of some of the 'nefs.

Standard bases weighted with plasercene – I don't know what that's called in the us – non-settiing modelling putty for kids. Occasionally add a 2p piece.

Clear bases from the kit, though I have been thinking about getting some of Litko's clear bases with the varying length posts, so that I can depict various altitudes.

Other that a couple I did early on, which were glued to "as-issued", mine are drilled for RE magnets, and mounted to(magnet-tipped) round, clear GW bases. I liked the bigger footprint, less likely to tip over.

Correc

As in CorSec? Have some, haven't used yet. Looking forward to being able to change base depending on game system.

plasercene – I don't know what that's called in the us

I think we use the brand name Plasticene, usually.
