Hi All,

I've just posted a step-by-step tutorial on the painting and assembly of Tabletop World's 28mm Merchant House. Very cool model. If you're interested in this sort of thing, here's the link to the build notes:

Kevin,

That was cool. You air brushed every part? How did you keep the overspray off the smaller sections on the parts. For example, the timber on the stone walls?

I wandered off into your Canvas Eagles stuff after looking at the house article….

I like the Jasta 5 builds!

Matthew,
For timber on stone walls…spray stone first as indicated. Timber is all in a straight line on these pieces, so just spray various wood shades in straight lines. Very little overspray…however, when it happens, just drybrush off-white back onto the affected stone…no problem.

jgibbons,
Thanks…yes, I like the Jasta 5 stuff, but am most proud of the Jasta 19 work.

Kevin.

Great job… Thanks for the pictures.

I notice you have foundry paints in dropper bottles! I almost exclusively use foundry, and I've been contemplating decanting them into Vallejo style droppers. How did you do yours ? Did you waste much paint? Do you just do this for diluted airbrush colours?

I love that house!

I was wondering what the story was with the Foundry bottles as well!

Nice build as well, BTW! :-)

I moved all my paints into Reaper dropper bottles a few years back. Here's the beginning of the story.

Put a tin BB into each dropper bottle to help you mix the paint each time before you use it.
Any paint you lose during the transfer process is minor compared to the increased longevity and minimal wastage you get from using dropper bottles.
