A flu bug set this back, but I finally have two blog entries about two of the games I played in at Hotlead two weeks ago.

First up is Friday night's Dux Britanniarum battle between Saxon and Romano-British warbands, hosted by Cain of the Kent-Essex Gaming Society (KEGS):

Next is Saturday morning's 6mm double-blind game of I Ain't Been Shot Mum (WWII):

The guys who were on the Canadian side of that battle are probably going to get tired of me telling this story, but the funniest bit of the double-blind experience was they spent the entire game, from turn 3 on, shooting at a dead Tiger.

Next week I'll get up photos of my ACW naval experiences (the only winning side I was on all weekend!), and two games of modified Sharp Practice, also hosted by KEGS.

Nice!

Nice report!

I'm glad you had fun, double blind games are always interesting.

I have found that they are either really good games, or total stinkers. It seemed that all the players had a good time though, so I'm pleased with how it turned out. Keith did a great job keeping everyone guessing about what was really going on.

Since that engagement lasted almost 3 days, I can use the same terrain with different forces and play it over and over again.

I finally got a couple of blog posts up about the rest of my time at Hotlead.

This one covers Saturday afternoon's 1/600 ACW naval game:

And this is a content-light post about Saturday night and Sunday morning's "modified" Sharp Practice games hosted by KEGS:
