With the release of these, looks like I will be needing some 15mm/18mm scale troops to help aid in the island defense of Bornholm from the red hordes:

So, who makes Cold War Danish troops in 15mm scale?

Might as well ask for Cold War Swedish troops as well, to help oppose the Soviet and Warsaw Pact amphibious and airbornes attacks in the Baltic too.

Anyone up for the challenge of producing these minis, or are there decent proxies that can be used instead?

Not sure if they also use American-style helmets and uniforms during the period, say 1960's – 1990's.

Thoughts?

In 15mm, US troops would do for Danes once they switched from UK style battledress to field jacket/cargo pants combo
(mid 60s?). In the 80s, the Danes adopted a cool camo scheme, but the uniform's cut remained similar.
Swedes, however, had a rather distinct uniform- their jackets were cut almost like German WWI tunics, although in cotton, with large pockets in the back. Their load bearing equipment was greenish rubberized fabric, with big ammo pouches like on WWII style UK LBE. Short leggings like US WWII. See if you can google a picture, as my description already seems too wacky.

Thanks for the info Pan.

Good news on the Danes, especially since I'm primarily interested in the mid-1960's throught the 1980's period.

Looking forward to more info on the Swedes.

Will also need to research the number of Bulldogs in a platoon/company, as well as how many troops are in a squad/platoon/company too.

I ran across info on the number of M-41s on Bornholm a while back.

Rumor had it they weren't expected to last long, against a concerted Soviet/W.P. assault, but thought it still might make for an interesting what-if game, along with some battles for the other Danish isles in the straits, too.

The M41DK1 is certainly among the coolest-looking Cold War tanks:

QRF West Germans are probably your best bet for Danes.

Might've been nicer to get Cold War Finns.
