Hi I'm looking for a 6mm scale Asian temple complex or something remotely convertable, odly enough for a sci gaming setting. Have looked at what's available by the likes of irregular Minis, Aquarium models but no luck. Apart from a miraculous charity shop find, does anybody out there know of a web link or online retailer that might be helpful, all sugestions really, really appreciated on this as I'm drawing a blank. Whilst I can scratchbuild, i'm thinking something like this might be pushing my skills. This is the type of thing I'm after – Angkor Wat Temple, or anything that looks suitably old and asian.
Appreciate this has come up before, but just wondered if there were any new sources out there, tourist gifts etc somebody may have seen. Will consider international postage. Cheers guys. |

The problem is the scale. I've seen aquarium models of the Angkor Wat gate (several versions) but they're far too large for 6mm: link There's also this (expensive) souvenir, but it's far too small: auction This guy made a nice Lego version of Angkor Wat, and it looks pretty close to 6mm: link This commercially available Lego version is cool, but way too small: auction Finally, there's this cool paper model, but it looks pretty complicated, and printing out all the sheets would take a lot of matte photo paper and ink: link On the plus side, you could scale that last one to whatever size you want. I'd be tempted to buy some appropriately colored Sculpey and try my hand at sculpting. As long as you get the basic shapes right, and add enough "looks good enough" detail, it should work on the tabletop. And you can cover any mistakes with flock for that overgrown look. |

There's an Angkor Wat in the Canon paper models archive that you could scale to suit your needs – link Doug |

This was for my 3mm Vietnam project, but there are "findings" in the bead section of craft stores (Michael's in this case) that look sorta pagoda-ish. It's the silver "tower" in the middle of the pic, just left of the pen, between the rubber trees and concertina wire:
You might be able to find a bigger one that works for 6mm. |

I'm curious about the scale in the original picture. Roughly how large in cm/inches would the buildings be in 6mm sclae? |
