I just noticed that Zenith miniatures recently started a project on Indiegogo for their game Kensei. The project seems to be aimed at launching a set of more Fantasy style creatures, for those who are interested in that. However, I was much more tempted by their new cavalry miniatures that look like they would fit a historical army as well: link |

Any idea if these can be purchased in the U.S. I was thinking about adding the Sohei to my warrior monk army? |

Wow, I really need to resist this, I'm trying to avoid more 28mm projects
But they look really, really good! |

tig: Too bad there are no sohei option in the indiegogo. I've never tried Warpath Games, so I can't vouch for them, but they carry the Kensei line in the US: link A bit on the expensive side, but I'll definitely pick up a few just to try them out. |

Setsuko: Thanks for the info, I'll give them a call. The site shows five standing Sohei for $29.99 USD. That is a little pricey. TIG |

Warpath is a distributor, TTBOMK they don't do any retail sales, full stop. You'd need to get your FLGS to order from Warpath, and they have a pretty significant minimum order size from what I remember of my LGS's complaints about them. |

Lion: well chucks, that's unfortunate. I googled a bit more, and found this alternative: fantization.com/Kensei.aspx At $30 USD for a box of five miniatures it might not be the best option for large units of infantry. But they do look nice, and I'm thinking that they might be "front rank material" so to speak. |

I'm going to have to do some serious thinking on these. Currently I'm working on an Anglo-Dane army of GB figures. So for the same thirty bucks plus seven dolloars shipping I can get forty of the new unarmored dark age plastic figures. I might just have to wait and see if Santa will bring me these. TIG |

The creatures they're proposing look appetising. How do their normal figures compare scalewie to Perry etc? |

I read that they say they are 30mm. That would put them a little taller than the Perry and TAG, but a little shorter than Kingsford. |

Thanks. Their indiegogo campaign is coming along nicely, and I like the way their fantasy figures are looking, but some slightly cheaper human infantry would be nice. |

This is about to end, with some suspense as to whether the last stretch goal will be reached:-) |

Missed out on the indiegogo, but like the figures, however, they seem to be way overpriced when compared to Perry, Kinsford etc. Pity because some of the characters look great. The rules which are free on their site seem interesting will have to try them with my Clan War figures. Comparing these to for example north star leaves on wondering if 19 euros for 5 figs is not way over priced, when Perry are at just over 6 pounds for 6 and North star look to be about 20 pounds for 8-10 which is still just about half the cost of the Kensi. I hope they reevaluate their pricing and give big discounts for large purchases! William |
