Yep, magnets, matched to the weight of the aircraft, and a robust flight stand base and stalk, matched to the wingspan of the plane. |

I use fender washers and brass rod for flight stands for large 1/300 aircraft. They are cheaper than commercial stands and are more stable in my opinion. Here are the instructions. link Terry

Terry, are the planes affixed to the brass rod, or do you fit them over the rod when in use and remove them for storage? Cheers, Aaron |

I go with a wide base. 1/300 B-29 is a load of weight. |

I use the method that Terry provided above. I drill a hole at the center of mass of the bomber. They handle the weight of the big bombers perfectly. I play Check Your 6! and never had a problem with the lack of a speed dial. If I need to use a speed indicator for a loose bomber then I place a small die behind the stand. Phil |
