I have recently been given permission by Thomas Duerrschmidt to feature his work in the Vexillia Limited gallery and I'm posting some of it here because the work is so full of character it deserves as wide an audience as possible.

Infantry

He is working on a 28 mm diorama depicting the army of Florence in the year 1260, on their way to the battle of Montaperti. The diorama will consist of a carroccio, the guarding knights, foot soldiers and a baggage train.

He's mainly using figures from Mirliton's 28 mm Communal Italian Range which are available via special order from Vexillia for UK customers.

Carrocio

More photos of the infantry are available at bit.ly/10ijU95 and of the carrocio & martinella at bit.ly/Zyakey

Very nice. I've been tempted lately by the Mirliton ranges but I wonder if anyone stocks them in the US?

Nice figures!

Striker, I ordered from Vexillian in the UK and had the figures in a few weeks. The communal range are large and mix great with Black Tree and Old Glory. I am told that some of their other medieval figures are smaller, but I don't have any experience with them, only the communal spearmen which are great.

Thanks for sharing Martin, that is fine work!
