What colors would their cloaks and shields be? I know they did a lot of bright colors, but will any do? what about shield designs? The spikey haired chaps, were they always blond? I have only ever seen them with white yellow hair. Lastly, tips on highlighting this scale
.. how many layers am I looking at? How should I do flesh? I got some neat naked fellows, how easy is hand painting designs at this scale? I want to do cool woad swirls and such. Thanks |

Spikey hair chaps tend to be white haired as it was lime used to get that effect. Britain had a good range of dyes, so if you avoid purple, pretty much anything goes. Sword blades would be silver, pretty much anything else metal can be a bright gold colour (bronze polished). Designs in 6mm, quarter them and paint the boss a different colour is plenty for most of them, or one colour and S shapes painted on. |
