I could really get into this period, but I'm trying to resist: too many other projects have priority. The wargamer's curse, I suppose…

They do look good! Oh Huns, Goths, Late Romans and Arthurian, just to name a few from this period. Also Vandels, yes best to resist.

I have these guys in 10mm. It is a fun period to play. I use Hail Caesar for it. I have late Romans in 28mm too, as well as Saxons but I don't really have enough of the Romans painted yet to put on a good game. If I'm going to play with them I usually just use the 10mm stuff reducing my motivation to paint the others.

I'm hoping I get an order for some and I can paint mine at the same time but it hasn't happened in a while.

Must resist more! I must admit it's a period that has always been attractive. Fortunately, most of the other players in our club have classical period armies, so that's what we tend to play. We do have some bits and pieces for the Late Romans and their friendly enemies, so we can put on a game like Chalons. We don't have enough for a campaign, though, which is probably just as well; I know what you mean, Mike…

Funny you should mention Arthurian, Oldbob, the banners I used for the Roman commanders are LBMS for Arthurian, although the blurb does say they'll do for Romans too.

Thanks for looking everybody!
