Nicely depicted in napoleon-series.org in pink and buff… surely a must-have?

Armament – would they have had carbines? Illustration shows a pouch-belt but the right hand side is not shown.

Thanks

Most sources show amaranth and white, which has the advantage of looking spectacular, rather than pink and buff.

I have a vague recollection that front ranks of lancers often carried a lance while rear ranks carried a carbine – I don't have a recollection of where I gleaned this, possibly erroneous, info.

The Berg Light Horse were not armed with lances in 1807-1808.

I don't have access to any of my usual references right now, so I can't comment on the basic question posed about carbines.
