Hello all:

This version, called 'On This Hallowed Ground', fixes previous errors and adds some more rules related information:

That names is a little too close to Piquet's long-published ACW ruleset. You might want to reconsider.

@Rwphillipsstl:
Didn't know that. Let it stand for now, Let me think about that for a while.

Just a confusion issue--if you start shortening to "Hallowed Ground" people can get confused and think you are using a variant of THAT game.

I think about this a lot because I have a fascination with the retroclone D&D movement, where people have used up every possible variation of ___ & ___ you can think of to try and differentiate their ruleset.

How about 'Seize the Flag'? or 'Last Full Measure' or 'How Proud They Were'.

Someone likes Zouaves….

Given unit sizes and the effects of artillery, I would suggest that each artillery stand represent a section of two cannons rather than a single cannon.

Just coming back into ACW, and was thinking what rules to use, I liked BP for my Napoleonic, but didn't think they had the right flavour for ACW so wasn't really considering them, but I think you just made my life easier, so thanks for that.

No, problem. I'm glad you like them. I'm trying to make additional corrections with the suggestions given here.

Enjoy

Is there a working link for this?

Brooklyn Wargamer29 Jun 2013 6:17 a.m. PST
