Book review of "Eyes of the Eagle" by Gary Linderer about LRPs during the Vietnam War on my blog.

There are a lot of questions about the truthfulness of the claims that Mr. Linderer makes in his books. For one thing he claims to have been awarded the Purple Heart twice yet there is no record of him having ever been wounded much less having been awarded the purple Heart.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of those "look at how bad*ss I/we were" books from Vietnam being published that are in fact have little, if any, truth in them.
