Dear All,

At GongCon 2013 we played a couple of LW FOW games, one Eastern Front, and one Hell's Highway scenario.

Be advised, this batrep is not for the squeamish!

Wow! Death and destruction everywhere.

That's a lot of burning steel…and really nice models…

Wow, talk about carnage! (Though that is my preferred view of a Panther: already burning!)

Great-looking models all around, too.

Nice looking game!

Looks like the Typhoons helped illustrate the dangers in going in bunching your tanks up too close.

Cheers, VB

They would have, if not for Mark's perfectly placed AA platoon that shot down every Typhoon that showed up.

Losing the forward Panther platoon to the ambush turn one really slowed the attack down though. I think BF did a great job with their Panzerbrigade lists. You get the sense that on paper, they should have been unstoppable, but things quickly snowball out of control for them if their charge gets blunted.

Nice looking game although I note your victory gets more space than your defeat……:)

As a non FOW person, when you say complex what do you mean? Is there scope to introduce different rules at certain levels?

Cheers
Jon
