An old friend of mine, Charlie Walther wrote a hard Sci Fi RPG back in the 1990s, under the initial name "Cooperation". Without any backing or distribution, it sold about nine copies – which is a shame. He's pulled it out again and put it on the web as a series of free downloads.

It's very old school, has minimal production values (zoom in on the text for readability) and – as they say -"Those who like this sort of thing may like it a lot."

Very cool, I will have to take some time and look through it.

It might be easier for people to download as one big PDF, but that's just a suggestion grin

You may well be right. In terms of presentation, it's a bit clunky – Charlie fully admits that web design, layout, graphics etc are not his strong points.

If you have wget installed (many Unix-style systems do) you can issue the following at the command line:

wget -r -Apdf,PDF coop-rpg.com

This will scrape all of the PDF files.

Yeah the layout and art just killed that game. I really just couldn't buy it.

It is a shame Charles knows sci-fi and Traveller like a very few folks.

Tell him to hire a proofreader, please. Having abominable errors like "crustation" in the teaser blurb is a sure sign he needs one.

I think he's well aware of those sort of problems. It's a long way from being a commercial product.

I'm sure Charlie would be happy to have volunteers help upgrade the appearance of the thing!

I'll take a look at it and maybe try it out. Thanks for sharing!
