Very nice bunch of shooty tau! |

Nice, I like the muted palette as opposed to the brighter GW minis, and typical Tau schemes. Both of course have their merits, but this is refreshing. Good job! |

They actually look quite good for a range of SF and near-future games. Well done. |

Very nice. Well modeled, well painted. I know the problem of second hand models well enough as well
I traded some Space Wolves for some Fire Warriors and given the difference in skill level shown by the assembly, I would have rather bought them new as well
. now I'm slowly taking them apart and harvesting them for bits for other projects. Paint schemes wise
. I on the other hand was stupid and went with digital camo on a mostly infantry/battlesuit force
.. Here's a pic from the contest I entered with it about a year ago. It looks fine and all, but gets very tedious really fast. Hopefully with the new codex our Tau will get a fighting chance again without the need for allies!

Thank you guys! @Wolfprophet: I am still undecided what to do with the vehicles and suits. At first I had contemplated digital camo, but now I am leaning towards splinter types of camo. Bt there ismalways the option of using the airbrush for very soft edged camo scemes
so many choices! |

I would lean toward the splinter pattern as well. I'm still not sure how I'm going to do my vehicles. I suppose I *should* do the same patterns on them, but it takes 6 hours to do a Fire Warrior. 8-10 for a battlesuit
. I can't imagine what it'll take for a Pirahna, let alone a Hammerhead. |

got any more images of these on the net wolfprophet? |

Not many. I need to take more photos. Here's lizardmen I converted into Fire Warriors using a Tutorial from Eastern Empire though. And a better shot of the stealth suits. And a Fire Warrior in the normal tan scheme
I'm doing two squads of them for a friend.

Thanks bluebirds! @Wolfprophet: I think it will be a splinter pattern, too. It will be easy to do by taping things off and using the airbrush. Just will not work to well with all the angles on the suits, so I will probably have to handpaint those
well lets see! |
