Hi guys How many of you out there are excited about Too Fat Lardies 'soon to be released' WW2 platoon level rules, 'Chain of Command'? toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=1361 There have been some previews on YouTube also that are worth a look. Cheers Scott |

I am very much looking forward to it. |

Very much so. I've been looking for an excuse to buy and paint a small collection of AB WW2 figures supplemented with a few ready painted vehicles and tanks and this game ticks all the boxes for me. The You Tube videos suggest an elegant simplicity to the rules that will play fast and fluidly. In short I can't wait. |

Been looking forward to this since it started out as a Sharpe Practice derivative. Looking forward to it more now. |

I'm quite excited about them, but I've always been and excitable boy. This seems to be an interesting departure from the Lardies normal card driven games. Since launching my Spring Offensive/Cleanup in my game room, I've come across more than enough figures to play this in both early and late WW2 settings and my new 6'x7' table would be more than large enough for this scale game. |

The You Tube demo games use 28mm figures on a 6' x 4' table but I wonder if we'll see anybody do it in 54mm. I would think it possible. |

Timmo. I have been thinking all along about doing it with 54mm Tamiya models. In the end I went with 28mm because I already have the terrain for that scale. What I have found fun is making up model vehicles in 28mm compatible sizes. I haven't done any military modelling since I was about fourteen, so this has been a trip down memory lane. I reckon a slightly larger table, say 7' by 5' and you could play perfectlly happily with larger figures. |

WW2 was the first period I gamed 33 years ago using 20mm so I'm looking forward to a somewhat belated return to the period. Can I just ask what size round bases you use for individually based 20mm WW2 figures? I don't have any figures yet but was wondering if a 20mm/ one pence piece would be a bit too big. |

Greetings I find a UK 1p piece is about right for a 20mm WW2 figure. Regards Edward |

Looks like a good alternative for when I want something different from Bolt Action. Looks like no basing changes required for either. I play Bolt Action with 15mm, I assume just halving distances will work just fine for CoC as well? |

Timmo. I have been thinking all along about doing it with 54mm Tamiya models. In the end I went with 28mm because I already have the terrain for that scale. I'll probably play in either 15mm or 20mm, (as I already have plenty of Miniatures and terrain). That said, there are some REALLY nice 28mm WW2 miniatures out there,
. Must resist! Do we have a release date yet? Really looking forward to these rules. As a soldier of 30yrs and operational experiance in the real world I can vouch for how realistic the rules from the guys at TFL play. The fact they are fun and easy to play is also pretty darn handy. Cheers Scott |

I'd second using 1p coins for 20mm, as the coins are exactly 20mm wide. For clarity I like using 5p coins that come in at 16-17mm wide fir my 15mm minis, 5 time's the cost but look much better than 1p for 15mm |

Incidentally I'm excited by CoC too, I had been trying to decide about a new platoon level hake and had been thinking of TW&T but this looks more like it
