Gentlemen, I am attempting to assemble some H&R Swordfish, however it seems to me that I am missing parts even though the packs are unopened. There is 1 sprue of parts but it seems to only have enough material for 1/2 the struts needed and no wheels. Am I missing something? Does anyone have any assembly directions or suggestions? |

I don't remember what came in the packs when I put my 6 together. From what you discribe it doesn't sound right. I will say this for Heroics and Ros aircraft, they make the best bi-wing planes in 1/300 scale in my view. I'd contact the seller and advise them of the situation. |

You could very well be missing something. I had a DH2 from them with a missing sprue, so I emailed Andy and he quickly sent me a replacement. I recommend doing the same. Btw, the struts are horribly soft, so I suggest using some stronger wire instead. It will save a lot of headaches! |

Thanks for the feed back. I just find it odd that all 9 are exactly the same. But then again, they were all ordered and I assume produced and packaged at the same time. My Albacores seem fine. |

Not the biggest picture, but if you zoom in you can definitely see more than one sprue, so it does sound like a mispack. link |

I ordered I think three packs of DH2s and two out of three were fine, but the third had missing parts. Guess it was some evil gnomes hiding in the work shop. |

Thanks Dom, that confirms it. |

If it is struts that you are missing. I use cut paper clips. They don't bend as much when assembling them. Phil |

For an airplane as small as the Swordfish, consider using thin plastic rod for the struts. Drill holes in the upper wing (as I recall, there are already holes in the lower wing), insert a short length of plastic rod, attach with superglue at both ends, and file flush when dry. If the holes are still visible, add a drop of superglue, which makes a good filler, and file again. Thin brass rod also works well, but it's a little harder to file. |
