Hi all. Posted a SuperSystem 3 AAR over at Dead Dick's Tavern, "The Gun Store Heist", featuring Power Man and Iron Fist, the Heroes for Hire!

Check it out. Comments welcome, there or here.

Boy, the ladies really took a beating there, didn't they? Very ungentlemanly behavior from the Constrictor.

Redroom29 Mar 2013 11:55 a.m. PST

the Falcon was my fav 70's black comic book hero, nice write up.

Great battle report. My group will be playing a SuperSystem 3 game soon and this gives me some clarification on timing, sequence, etc.

Very Nice Report. Great figures and table.

Chief Lackey Rich: Misty and Colleen were built on about 65 points each as opposed to the roughly 85 point builds of the other heroes and villains. They couldn't really go toe-to-toe with a guy like Constrictor (which I think would be pretty faithful to the comics, at least in the 70's) unless they got really lucky (which they didn't). But yeah, they took a beating.

Redroom: I looked, and it seems I have a Falcon model. Perhaps a team-up with Captain America?

Bryan Stroup: I'm no expert, this being my first SS3 game, but it's pretty easy. Initiative, attack, dodge, damage, resist, knockback, KO…pretty much standard order for most games. Whatever you mess up on or miss you just ignore and remember next time. The rules are laid out pretty well in the book, so clarification is easy to find.

Thanks to everyone else for the kind words. I hope to post more AARs soon!

I ditto everyone else's comments! Awesome report and figures/scenery!

I have 2nd edition, never got a chance to play it, but I've been considering just picking up 3rd edition.

How did you stat up the figures? Did you use the Annex? Also, the bit about yanking up light pole, are actions like that described in the rules, or did you improvise to keep the "flavor" of a Heroes type game?

Thanks!

Look forward to seeing some more!

Zonk: I pretty much statted them up myself. There are a lot of Marvel and DC heroes on this site for the taking, and this guy does a pretty good job of it:

But I was using heroes he didn't have stats for (like Colleen Wing) and I disagree with some of his builds (Power Man). Overall, though, that page is a good place to grab some hero/villain stats if you don't want to do them yourself. I used his stats for Scorpion, for example.

In Super System 3, Picking up an item costs 2 AP. Throwing one costs 4 AP once you've grabbed it.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm seriously considering picking up a copy…
