I did a search on TMP for this subject and didn't find anything, does anyone make wooden North American fences from the ACW period or does everyone make them from scratch?

TIA

… Check back with me in 6 months :) Fences are on my list of things to do. However, my list is REALLY long.

Musket Miniatures has them:

musketminiatures.com

Fences are under Catalog/American Civil War/22mm Accessories and Buildings, the third section down that page.

I've built their four-rail fence and a couple of their wooden bridges, and they're great. The wood is pre-cut and stained grey to look weathered. Get a bottle of Elmers and go crazy.

BTC has them in 15mm and 25mm kits that depending on your taste can be used for 20mm. They are a bunch of rails that are weathered and you build them yourself. Highly recommended.

As I have X-number of feet to do for multiple tables, I'll take a look at the for-20mm stuff first. I have to have it by June so I'll probably need to start putting them together sometime in January….ooops…. :-)

i make them(and sell them. pm me). i did a nice write up in the last issue of CHARGE!
i have about 15 customers who love my fences, and if you are setting up a civil war battlefield, don't skimp on the fencing. i've seen some ACW setups that have almost no fences. its sad…

Make your own using wooden skewers cut to length.

I've been kicking around doing my own. But the project is big enough now I don't know if making 20+ feet of fence is in the time budget.
