Does such a figure exist? Somebody posted a neat twist to replaying Brandy Station and having this figure would make it more interesting.

TIA

Strelets makes a box of Confederate generals. If you go the Plastic Soldier Review and look under periods/American civil war/ Confederate army, he is the first one pictured.

I thought you wanted the car….

Dayton Painting (RSM 95) has a figure from the old Pax Britania range (ACWC 01)that is intended to be the gentleman in question. There is also a very nice Grant as well. Sadly, I do not see any photos on their website. These are 20mm but mix well with plastics.

Ya, Strelets. I have the Union set, stumbled across it on eBay. Go ahead and find the Confederate set in the US. Either of them, actually. I spent 2 hours looking and couldn't even find the first set, let alone the second. I am not adverse to metals for special figures and will look into the Pax Britania figure.

Thanks.

(my wife wants the car, but in real life :-) )

I can (unfortunately) imagine where that would be placed if I presented to the Mrs.

The set from DPC is excellent! I own several of them. I own the Strelet's figs too. But the DPC are nicer.

Thanks,

John

I looked at DPC, not a single picture of the figures they have available, outside of some painted SYM stuff. As easy as it is to put pictures on web pages, that's ridiculous. No-see-ee, no buy-ee. Can't find 'em in stores so I can eye-ball 'em, I'd at least like to see a picture.

Thanks folks, I appreciate the info. I like the looks of that Wodensfeld sculpt. Now, to find some other personalities and I'll be a happy gamer.

Agreed, the Strelets set is hard to find – I was lucky that someone found me a set in Europe and sent it to me, after I managed to get another set as a gift – the Union set floats around more. Unfortunately, postage to the US would be ridiculous, otherwise I would be glad to let you have mine (and seeing that pic I realise I have painted him up from one of the sets – forget who I am using him for – oops!

But the metals look nice as well, especially that Wodensfeld one. I shall have to take a peek at those. Sadly, I am almost at the end of my planned ACW project, so for a few more years I doubt I will do much more. Mine are based for F7F and I have 8 brigades a side, and my gaming friend has similar if not more, so we are good for a while.

Umm – last post on the 20mm blog was May 2012 – does anybody know if this has moved elsewhere?

Thanks

I got mine direct from John so not sure if he's still doing so or not but I'll find out.

How about a Dixon Gen Lee? Smallish scale. Or Minifig Gen Lee probably available from Britain.
