Given the interest shown in my "herd" i thought i would post some proper close shots with figures so you can scale them. These are 1/64th scale Herefords made by ERTL , hard plastic/rubber ready coloured available in packs of 20 cows 5 calves for around $10.00 USD from the US – search ebay or google.
what other good resources have you for animals?

Very nice. ERTL is great, I also use their loose unsaddled horses and their Longhorns:
You may also want to check out the Megaminis Farm animals. I use his chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, and cats.
Last, all my cowboys include some Gripping Beast 4-horn sheep (and a few characters that are terrified of them):

Gotta love Herefords. Especially grilled over mesquite wood. |
