Ok I'll bite. How does a solo wargamer have a "rival" wargame society? |

I was suggesting, tongue in cheek, that in the cut throat world of Wargaming Associations The Society of Ancients is a "rival" to the Solo Wargamers Association in competting for sub's from gamers. In truth – there's a lot of overlap of membership. I'm in SWA and SoA, and in the past I've been in SOTCW, P&S, and SFSFW. For a couple of years I was in all 5, but interests change and that's also a lot of magazines to keep up with! Never quite signed up for L&LB, although medievals are an ongoing interest. I had a theory a while ago that there were about 100-150 people who were members of all or nearly all the various wargames socities (just based on seeing the same names pop up in different places). |
