Armour was lakkered, do I spray glossy and leave it glossy on the armour ? |

I've tried it both glossy and black and i can't make up my mind which I like better. I've been told though at this scale glossy would not show. I say do what you think looks best. David kingsfordminiatures.org

Don't spray glossy. Just paint a gloss coat on the armour. The whole guy wouldn't have been glossy even if his armour was. |

I just use appropriate ink color (red, brown, black, etc
). Works out well. |

I'd go with satin. A bit glossy, but not overly so, for a realistic finish. |

I use a watered down satin finish on all the lacquer bits. It gives a hint of the shine which looks more in scale to me.

Figman those are really nice, gives me something to aspire to when I get around to painting up my WGF samurai and ashigaru. |

Thanks. They are time consuming but I love painting them. |

figman Wow! They are beyond nice! If it's not an impolite question – how long does each one take you to do? And do you do them individually? or as a production line? And while I'm asking – what rules set are they based for? And where did you source the colours from
Actually could we trouble you to prepare the beginners guide to the period as the OFM did for the AWI
?? No – just a thought :-) Thanks for sharing the photos – very inspirational |
