HELLO, I HAVE SOME OF AIRFIX Bren Carrier, and was going to put them crew. Which miniatures you advise me?

Rich Bliss25 Mar 2013 9:06 a.m. PST

I'd stick with plastic, preferably Airfix, if you can find them.

MMS their crew are closer to plastic in style than the typical wargame figures

Matchbox (reissued by Revell); they are 1/76 – the same scale as the model

Cheap as chips and some useful poses to convert there

I've used the British Vickers machine gunner and loader in the Esci/Italeri set and machine gunner in the Matchbox set. The gun can be carved off and they look fine. For 8th Army, the figure with binoculars and the gunners from the Airfix set are particularly good. MMS are a little bigger and metal is harder to carve. The HAT tank riders will also require carving but are very useful.

Congratulations on managing to assemble this model….. did you manage the 6pdr ?

Martin Rapier26 Mar 2013 6:38 a.m. PST

I chopped up some spare Airfix 25pdr crewmen and used those.
