Hello All,
I'm looking for regimental level ACW rules that use the ground scale of 1"=40 or 50 yards. I'm already aware of Johnny Reb and A Union So Tested. Are there any others? Thanks for the help.

Regimental F&F is 1 to 25 I think but its a good game as well

Regimental Fire & Fury. Great system and clearly written.

RF&F is indeed a great set of rules, and is perfectly playable at 1" = 50 yards by simply adjusting the movement and ranges. You'll have to physically halve the number of stands, but I would still "count" them as double (i.e. the original amount) in order to keep the math of the game intact. That's how I've done it, and it works fine.

Not a direct answer … but I've also been using home rules to adopt Crusader Games "March Attack" Napoleonic rules for the ACW at this scale – works great!

Cheers,

Christopher

Curious as to why that particular ground scale? Is it to fit in a larger battle?

Black Powder is a good system. I like Fire and Fury too.

Correct. I already have a rules set for 1"=25 Yards. I'm looking for a rule set that I can use with all the great 1"=50 Yards scenarios available. I tried "A Union So Tested" and thought it was Ok, but I was wondering if anything else was available. It must also be fast play, so I can use it to run games at CON's.

Fire and Fury is 1"=25YDS

Regimental FnF is 1" to 25 yds
Brigade FnF is 1" = 40 or 60 yds – plays faster than RFnF and forces more Generalship thinking and less a colonel.
If your the scenario designer make your scenario rule for what ever rules you prefer to use to make fit/work and proceed.

Why do we forget rules are guidelines and not a law….

Call to the Colors. I designed it specifically for 4 to 5 hour time slot at conventions. It is 1-35 ground scale, but I have used it at 1 – 50 for some scenarios. Works fine. It is FREE at the yahoo group.

Try the rules that are free on the CHARGE website, thay are 1" = 50 yards. Might be able to adapt them?

What marshalGreg said applies. Danger is getting the mix right. BFF is aimed to sit the player at the Div or maybe Corps command table, while RFF is the brigade/division scale.
