Today, James, Tom, Matt and myself re-fought the Siege of Valencia at the Cannon show at Retford on a 16ft x 6ft table. Here are a few images from the game:

Those look like the figures from the Warhammer El Cid book! I am glad to see more pics as I have studied the ones in the book and used them as inspiration for painting my Las Navas de Tolosa figures. Alas I am a slow painter. A dreary weekend where all I did was paint and all I have to show for it is four infantry figures. |

Sir Walter you are correct. They are the models from the book. It was James Morris' (WAB El Cid author)collection supplemented by some of my Berbers and Scrivs' Christian Spanish and fought over the terrain that features in the book. |
