Hi Lads….sorry about the delay (I've been very busy with mi other persuits ;) )….here's one for the ladies…

after the last demo game and the Goats magnificent trashing of the truck…(he used the Slasher) I thought it would be appropriate to update the Mad Max malarkey :D …who knows we could have offers from Hollywood or Bollywood to appear in the new Mad Max movie :D

see you all at the Triples…Sheffield!

enjoy :D

The models are awesome, but the outfits are what makes it!

clarkeshire24 Mar 2013 10:53 a.m. PST

we've been Demoing at the Sheffield and Rotherham (GIMPS) club…..a few of the members did seem a little bit unsettled when we walked in:)

ps the costumes idea was inspired by Humungous (Andy Ritson)…he's a total showman, modeller and top geezer….on Red nose day he went to work (Sumo Digital) and won the fancy dress….expect to see a few more characters and surprises at the Triples!

There was a link on TMP months ago that showed the whole collection of vehicles. Truely a labor of love. They all look fantastic.

Am I missing something, are there rules to be released for mad max? That'd be awesome

owenmp24 Mar 2013 5:42 p.m. PST

Incredible! You must post those images on the Mad Max Movies Discussion Forum.

Will you build one or both of the vehicles (tow truck and mid-sized) that have the four-barrel tire slasher in Mad Max 2?

I am very interested in obtaining your rules. Please post here if you will make them available.

Cheers Michael….we'll have a good look at the links and then see what we can do….its a pity we cannot get to a few shows in the USA….we would give them a bit of the old British charm and flavour….

now were on the search for a few Ladies to join our merry band….it would be good to have a few ladies in the Wastelands attire:)

Goat

ps the costumes are only in their first stages….plus anybody who wants to drive a vehicle at the shows will nodoubt be given a proper set of post apocayptic uniform:)

Fish25 Mar 2013 1:51 a.m. PST

Looking good as always, but you guys need to weather and dust them costumes up a bit to make them look worn and used.

Militia Pete25 Mar 2013 12:37 p.m. PST

Hey, wait a minute.
Where is the lady that later was in Farscape roleplayer!

Chuckaroobob25 Mar 2013 2:42 p.m. PST

I think that actress is Virginia Hey; "Warrior Woman" in Mad Max 2.

clarkeshire27 Mar 2013 11:19 p.m. PST

It would be nice if we could find an Aunty Entity team mate….she would keep us all in order:)

Von Miligan15 May 2013 3:22 p.m. PST

Love it, good job chaps. Mad max 1& 2 are my favourite films ever.
I shall be at Sheffield as a trader with EWM and will be looking in on your game.
I do dream of making a range of miniatures based on the two films, one day????
Let me know if you Do a game down south and I will see if I can get along on "the goose". Its my 1978 kawazaki z1 replica of the bike ridden by jim goose in MM1. Depends on the show and organiser, but could even get her next to your game table perhaps? It's been featured in motorcycle mags in recent years and I love it, brings a smile to my face every time I drive it?

It's funny how bikers of "a certain age" light up when they see it, great ice breaker.

"See you on the road scags". Remember "if your going to waste the bronze, you gotta do it big" .

That's it, you got me going now……….

Von Miligan20 May 2013 2:09 p.m. PST

Hi Goat,
Great game, great "experience"! You guys put so much effort into that display with all the wonderful models, the great video, lighting and sound effects. The costumes were just great and the simple, easy to play, fun rules combined with a well hosted game, made the whole thing just fantastic. As someone who has never joined In a participation game before, this was just grand.
Goat, I loved your "snake attacks" from the gyro-copter, great addition to the game and very in keeping with the film and characters.
Overall, best demo game I have ever seen at any show.
Your addition of iron man for pictures and raising money for your charity just added to the whole thing.
Well done lads and thank you.

Hope to see that game running again so others can experience it as well.

clarkeshire20 May 2013 3:48 p.m. PST

Cheers Von Milligan from all the lads from Sheffield…the Wargames Clubs in Sheffield have been flying the flag for quite a few years….we all just like the Wargaming Hobby, the Banter, the Beer and a few wind ups and Battles along the way:)

also thanks to the Sheffield and Rotherham (GIMPS) Club for putting up with us and playing a few trial demo's, the Sheffield Wargames Society who run Triples every year.and Sumo Digital who kindly loaned us Steve and Iron Man for the Day:)

well done and thanks to all the participants who played the game…without you lot we have no game:)

Goat….

ps @Von Milligan if it was you that loaned me your Possum Hat….then all I can say is ….cheers Mate:)

pss now I wonder if the Sheffield Runelords will manage to find enough energy for another outing:)
