Let the speculation begin!

They just took it down. Maybe it was an April fools day joke that put out too early?

CorSecEng22 Mar 2013 5:57 p.m. PST

What was it?

We can only speculate….

Running the url through google gives 'Test for new project. Just a quick test everyone please ignore.' in the description, with no preview or cached copy.

It was most likely a formatting or other test for something completely different, because the Star Wars miniature gaming license has already been sold off (to FFG, iirc) and WG certainly wouldn't be so foolish as to produce a 'not' range with their prominent position in the industry.

CorSecEng22 Mar 2013 7:48 p.m. PST

Depends on the exact FFG agreement. To date FFG has not introduced any miniatures for ground combat. Similar to the rumor as to why the X-wing boxes didn't come with a paper mat. Rumor has it that FFG can't make boardgames because Hasbro or someone has that license.

Of course FFG probably has a generic right to any miniatures and will probably do something along those lines eventually. Something like dust tactics with SW figs would be cool.

Well, this one is amusing – a clear case of 2+2= Aardvark!

Our web guru is pulling together new mini-site for a new project and being a geeky chap (as we all are) used the Stars version of the Lorem Ipsum latin body text as a placeholder for the real text which has yet to be written.

Nothing to do with Star Wars.

Nothing to do with FFG.

Move along – this is not the thread you are looking for…

Cheers,

I clicked the link yesterday almost as soon as Wargamer Blue had posted it and got this message:

"This is a 404 page, which means that we couldn't find what you're looking for."

Curse those Jedi and their mind tricks!

It's a trap!

Landgraft23 Mar 2013 2:19 p.m. PST

And now just allow me to sit back and wallow in the smugness of being right.

It makes a change of piece from being out of my depth everywhere else in the world of wargaming.

MacrossMartin24 Mar 2013 8:46 p.m. PST

You poor, easily misled fool, Landgraft – can't you see? Notice how quickly Paul jumped on this thread, and officially denied any Star Wars connection? Yes, that's right – a deliberate campaign of misinformation!

He wants us to believe that it was just a coincidence, merely the actions of some innocent underling. But we are not so easy to throw off the scent.

What's happened here is obvious -- Warlord have been bought by Disney!

Now, I must don my tinfoil helmet and go down into my nuclear bunker, I can hear the unmarked black helicopters heading this way…
