I am looking for ogre sized falchions or scimitars for a conversion. Anyone know where I could get something like this, even a figure that could be cut up would be helpful.

I was looking for something similar some years back to convert my LotR Troll. Didn't have much success, ended up buying some Reaper Ogres and hacking their weapons off their hands. It wasn't the most economical decision I made that year.

This isn't the right one, but it captures the idea of my hunt:

Look in Dollar Storws, Walmart and similar for bags of 54mm fantasy figures. Should meet your needs easily.

Cut your own from plasticard ? Just cut out a shape, use a file to bevel the edges, use some plastic or metal tubing for the handle.

The Reptus weapons pack from Reaper are quite hefty and exotic looking.

I should add that in the past one could order particular sprues rather than the whole pack.

Araby Ogre from GW?

I used this ogre for a Blood Bowl conversion, and I "think" ive got the sword (and fist) that I cut. You can have it if it will be of use to you.

Send me an email at jdeleonardis at hotmail dot com if you do. I can just drop it in an envelope and send it on.

Check out Brickforge. They make custom weapons for Lego Minifigs. If you are doing ogres, they may be "small" enough. They have a nice falcion and a gladius and a pilum, kind of pricy, but cheaper than hacking up a figure..

If you type "boneyard", and "sword" ("weapon" shows a few as well) into reaper's figure finder, you'll find a bunch of options in various sizes, and since they're sold as individual parts they tend to be a lot cheaper then chopping up a whole figure.

(That last link seems to have a few reptus weapons, although I'm not sure if any of them are the ones that Altfritz mentioned.)

Thanks for the links – I never thought about doing a search of the boneyard.

I ended up with some sprues of metal weapons in ogre scales from a show a while back; I *think* I got them from Kennington/SHQ (or one of the companies in that orbit) but I can't find them on the website.
